Paraxial mesoderm as a direct gateway to lymphatic endothelial cells

januari 16, 2025

Valeria Orlova and Tatiana Petrova have published a paper in Nature Cardiovascular Research in which the origins of mammalian lymphatic vessels have been studied. In conclusion, the centripetal model via the paraxial mesoderm lineage may offer a more promising approach for direct differentiation of LECS in vitro without the need to pass through an intermediate venous lineage via the centrifugal model.

Application Note Fluigent
januari 27, 2026
Flow conditions and a stable well-defined flow direction are important to culture in vivo-like endothelial cells over time that maintain their organization and function. With help of Dhanesh Khasi, Hanna Lammertse and Valeria Orlova, an application note was put together by Fluigent describing the proper conditions for hiPSCs-derived vascular organ-on-chip model under unidirectional controlled flow: https://www.fluigent.com/resources-support/expertise/application-notes/hipscs-derived-vascular-organ-on-chip
Strategic Workshops Catalyze

Peerlogic is a tool to facilitate animal-free cell culturing.  To this end protocols and Materials & Methods sections for xeno-free & FCS-free cell culturing are being shared as well as animal-free alternatives to basement membrane extracts (BME) such as Matrigel. With this tool we want to stimulate collaboration and through peer review we want to […]
