Paraxial mesoderm as a direct gateway to lymphatic endothelial cells

Valeria Orlova and Tatiana Petrova have published a paper in Nature Cardiovascular Research in which the origins of mammalian lymphatic vessels have been studied. In conclusion, the centripetal model via the paraxial mesoderm lineage may offer a more promising approach for direct differentiation of LECS in vitro without the need to pass through an intermediate venous lineage via the centrifugal model.
