
First Dutch Nutritional Immunology Conference
The first Dutch Nutritional Immunology Conference (DNIC) was organized by principle scientists of WUR and Utrecht University including Coen Govers and Tamara Hoppenbrouwers from LymphChip.
The topic of the conference focused on the impact of nutrition or nutritional-derived compounds on the activity and function of the (human) immune system. The aim was to bring together young Dutch and international researchers to support future studies into evidence based nutritional immunology.
In total 158 participants from academia and industry attended the meeting which received financial support from an NWO-ENW Wetenschappelijke Bijeenkomsten en Ontmoetingen WBO 2024-1 grant, and by the WUR-based Gerrit Grijns Initiative (GGI).
